Hound Dogs Game Day Warmup

Tonight will be like something out of the Twilight Zone; the pent up energy from unrestrictive and nonsensical capacity procedures will be unleashed. The sky is the limit and I think both teams (Hounds/Wolves) are going to be jacked and it will be one hell of a game.

There is science behind the fact that the body resonates energy and frequency and it will filter down to the ice.

For whatever reason Doug chose to make the announcement hours from puck drop is beyond me, but I do suspect 100% that the owners and GM’s in the league new that something was coming.

Now About Tonight’s Game

Sudbury Wolves

Coach Craig Duncanson

GM Rob Papineau

Record 1-0

Coming off a 6-3 win over the Peterborough Petes, the Wolves will be in town after a bus ride from Sudbury last night. Hopefully bus legs come into play, but I doubt it with the energy the Soo faithful will provide in the stands. This year the Hounds and Wolves will meet many times and a rivalry will certainly be taking place.

Players to watch on the Wolves side are many as this is a club that wants to be a contender. In goal, they have overage Mitchell Weeks who is a leader on and off the ice and will provide stability to young defenceman behind the blueline. Up front there is no vacuum of talent. Last night, top players produced with Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jack Thompson potting a goal and two assists, and overage D man Liam Ross netting two goals and was a +2.  Other notables to keep your eye on are Chase Stillman and rookie Musty Quentin.

Soo Greyhounds

Coach John Dean

GM Kyle Raftis

Record 1-0

Also coming off of a win, the Hounds will be just as excited to play back to back with fans in the seats that are not seated 6 feet apart. The Hounds played a high tempo game last night but the foe in front of them will be a bit more of a challenge. The Greyhounds need to stay out of the box, and take the body as much as avoid any punishment from the big Wolf squad. Tonight, watch out for Rory Kerins again, Tye Kartye , and overeager Joe Carroll if he is slotted into the lineup tonight. Hopefully, there is no further disciplinary action towards Ryan O’Rourke as per last nights Major penalty. If he is in the lineup; he’ll be a force and leader as usual. One other player to really really watch is the big Russian.. all 200lbs of him…Kirill Kudryavtsev.

Usually coaches try and steer away from using their goaltenders on back to back days, but I have a hunch that given the nature of confidence and its’ importance in a rookie and the play of Ivanov last night, that coach Dean will start him once again. This is just a hunch so we’ll see what happens.

Anyway, I look forward to the game tonight and I know you are as well
