Rik Emmett & I Have a Nice Chat about Poetry, Triumph Documentary Release Date and More

I spoke with Rik a few days ago and it seemed like a conversation with a friend rather than an interview. Anyway during this conversation we engaged on his new book of poems Rik Emmett Reinvention Poems and that was the main theme.

I however didn’t forget about Triumph fans (including myself) and asked Rik about the delayed release of the much desired documentary about the band titled Rock & Roll Machine.

It turns out Rik is a tea drinker but at times will splurge for a cup of decaf (yuckk!!!!) and he is also a Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He did concede that he would be a Soo Greyhound fan if …………………..well, if he was born here.

Seeing the dozens and literally dozens of guitars behind him, I used a bit of my suave technique and cornered the gifted guitarist into playing one of our favorite songs.
