Tuesday Sept 6/Hounds Trim Roster/Crystal Shawanda/Killer Deal

With the help of some good goaltending by Charlie Schenkel and rookie Landon Miller, the Soo Greyhounds outpaced the visiting Sudbury Wolves 5-2 on Saturday at the GFL Memorial Gardens. Scoring for the Hounds were Ryan Thompson, Alex Kostov, Jordan D’Intino, Justin Cloutier and Bryce McConnell-Barker. The Hounds have trimmed their roster significantly over the past few days and I anticipate that they will head into their next game this Friday in Saginaw with even less. I will be speaking with Kyle Raftis tomorrow and have an update on our chat Thursday morning.

Northern Talent

Facebook/Social Media Controversy? LoL

I have recently been reading that there are some very dissapointed locals that have been “banned” or put in FB page jail recently via a local page.. lol. It’s not a life threatening issue but I am glad that I was pointed in another direction. I left this said group as I was put in FB jail for 30 days and am still shaking my head. Yes rules are rules but………well I will leave it at that. Anyway I have found out that there is another group and many are now joining it. It is called St. Joseph Island-A True Community Page .

Today is the first day of school for many so watch out for the kiddies on the streets. Also make sure you don’t pack a peanut in your kids lunch. As Derek Seguin the comedian says “apparently their friends explode if they see one” It’s just a joke my friends; but on a serious note this image above is not to be taken seriously. It is unhealthy to eat glue unless it is certified by the Canadian Food and Drug Administration. Enjoy these moments all you Mums and Dads as they are precious and boy oh boy; our kids grow up too fast. My little girl is ….23 !!!

KILLER DEAL $$

Hey kids; my buddies Russ, Johnny, Gerry, and Darrell are returning to the Soo as part of their 40th Still Standing Tall Tour. The show is at Soo Blaster and it was a huge success in 2019 when they played here last. I will be interviewing Russ later this week and I am going to inquire if he will do a headstand or at the very least ride the trike. It was a blast a few years ago and everyone who went will confirm. Anyway; as co promoter of the show, I have a good handful of tickets to push at a discount.
