Skye Wallace Show Was Amazing
The Skye Wallace show at the Town Hall last Saturday night was simply amazing. The vocals and the acoustics her band brought out was angelic.
Not only did the show last two sets and encompass about 12 songs but her two encores confirmed her love of playing. If you missed the show you missed her debut of her new cover of Cher’s’ If I Could Turn Back Time. This was my first time in the Town Hall and it was just as quaint and charming as you could imagine. The size was perfect for a performance like this. I would guestimate that there were about 50 people in attendance.
What Does Kyle Raftis Have Up His Sleeve?
Yes the Hounds squeaked out a win in Sudbury Wednesday but the problems are still there. Scoring 2 goals against a team that also struggles’ to win is NOT the turning point in the season. The Wolves were also depleted having fired coach Craig Duncanson not too many days earlier.
Something has to be brewing and it’s not just my coffee. After another loss (Sunday) and 58 minutes of play before the Hounds got on the board, it is time Kyle Raftis acquires someone who can score some goals. Bryce McConnell Barker can’t do it on his own.
An interesting note is that on October 28 the Hounds transferred the rights to Blair Scott to Kitchener for a 9th round pick in 2023. Does this transaction mean much? I am not sure it might; it does open up a slot somewhere for the organization to fill while at the same time acquiring someone.
One way or another with Owen Allard out for probably the season the Hounds have to replace him now. My hunch is trade talks are heavy right now.
The Greyhounds have scored the least amount of goals in the league (28) and they have played 3 more than Hamilton who only have 32.
Sunday the Hounds were blown out 6-1 and tonight they battle Guelph at the Memorial Gardens.
The Hounds have injuries woes, scoring woes, and a lot of uncertainty. Let’s hope Kyle can work his magic.
