Greyhounds Cause Spitfires to Stall & Fall

Dogs Are Out For a Run & Having Fun

With the recent return of Marco Mignosa, and the stellar play of Landon Miller, the Soo Greyhounds shot down the best team in the OHL (winning % .808) last night with a 3-1 win.

The Hounds came out of the gates flying and before the game was 10 minutes old Mignosa potted two goals.

The Hounds played strong for the rest of the period but had to rely on great goaltending in the second and third periods as the Windsor club turned up the heat.

The second period was played almost entirely in the Hounds end where they were outshot 15-1 and the one shot they were credited with was iffy

On this night Miller stole the show with save after save including 3 breakaways.  Brady Martin didn’t get on the board but showed his character as He made two GIANT hits back to back late in the third to make a statement that the Hounds were not going to lose this game. With the Windsor net empty late in the third , Owen Allard sealed it. The Hounds have now won five straight and are 8-2 in their last ten. Next up…..the Hounds play in London tomorrow night where it is always a treat to watch.
