Red Wings? Yes that is what I wrote; it must be slang in Flint as I heard their announcer use the term last night during the game a few times. It does make sense….Red (Fire) and Wings (Birds).
Anyway, last night the Hounds played a solid road game and the power play finally clicked with 3 goals; as well they also scored shorthanded.
The game before I kind of rained on the kids parade as per their powerplay and knew it would start to click and it sure did…………….so for one game this arm chair critic got owned and that’s that and that’s good.👽
It was also a good game on the backend with star goalie Charlie Schenkle recording His 5th career OHL shutout. Charlie is going to be on the move this year in my opinion and I think it might happen before Christmas. Both Charlie and Landon are starters and there is no reason sitting one kid on the bench for a long period of time; they need to develop and Landon has a year left and Charlie is in His last year so He will go to a contender for some young talent.
Scoring for the Hounds who were missing Brady Martin (upper body) as a precaution were Noel Nordh, Owen Allard, Justin Cloutier, and Marco Mignosa; speaking of Marco……………..He must be wondering what you have to do to get picked as one of the 3 three stars post game, as He had 4 points and still didn’t get picked lol………..but not everyone can get the nod.
Christopher Brown (below) is continuing to impress me and is showing his strengths winning 12 of 15 faceoffs which are more critical than some think.
The Hounds are off until Wed when they host the London Knights which will probably be met with a high crowd turnout for a weekday…………………um that is if we don’t have to stop play as per civil war as the USA elections are on Tuesday………….that is going to be a shit show either way. The lesser of two evils would be Trump in my personal opinion. It is between Him and Kackling Kamala; Green Party candidate Jill Stein is not allowed to win. The US has only two gangs, the DemoCrips and ReBloodigans.
