Last night the Hounds played a very lazy and boring game. Losing 5-1 wasn’t the problem, but the lack of execution and drive was. There didn’t seem to be any flow offensively and the reason was because London had the puck in the Hounds end for the majority of the game. The shots of 43 for London and just 13 for the Hounds would be the evidence I present as per the last sentence.
Not only did the Hounds not show any will to win, but they left Charlie Schenkle out to dry. This game would have been 10-1 had Charlie not played like he did.
I have to be honest; I stopped watching the game after the second period. The main reason was the play, but another reason was the uniforms. Uggh…I don’t like change and after watching the dreadful black and red uniforms on the road last week……this was just the last straw. Wait…….actually the last straw was the video feed. For some reason the blue lines on both sides of the ice looked foggy. I am not sure if it was a contrast issue with the video settings or what …but it was hard to watch.
Scoring for the Hounds was Justin Cloutier.
Next up for the Hounds is Friday night where they host the top team in the OHL with a tile against Kitchener Rangers in Kitchener.
