The Soo Greyhounds, or should I say Brady Martin beat the Erie Otters tonight 4-3 in front of the hometown fans.
Martin completed his 3 goal night with a goal just seconds into overtime.
The game was strong on the Hounds side as they worked and hustled hard while playing without some offensive talent via some key injuries (Brown/Allard.)
The shots were almost identical with the Hounds putting 31 on net while Erie directed 28 on Schenkle.
The Hounds were 1/2 on the PP and PK on this night
Noel Nordh, Justin Cloutier and Marco Mignosa each had two point nights. Between the pipes Charlie Schenkle was solid once again improving his record to 7-4 with a 2.42 GAA which is good enough for 2nd in the OHL.
Next up for the Dogs is a weekend set hosting Flint on Friday and Windsor on Sunday afternoon at the Memorial Gardens.
