Hounds Split Homestand With a Win Over Windsor 2-1 OT
After Hyde squandered a two goal lead on Friday against Flint to drop a 3-2 loss, Jekyll showed up today and the Hounds beat a team that is ranked in the top 10 in Canada.
Brodie McConnell-Barker took a saucer pass from Marco Mignosa and beat goalie Joey Constanzo at 2.44 of the extra inning.
The game saw Noel Nordh picking up a goal and an assist as well as the debut of 17 year old RW-er Jordan Charron who seemingly replaced RW overeager Justin DeZoete who was released by the team last week. The team is only allowed to dress three OA’s so it was only a matter of time as the Hounds also have Charlie Schenkle, Owen Allard, and Caeden Carlisle.
With the win for Miller, he is making GM Kyle Raftis job a bit harder. Landon has been up and down this year and Raftis would probably like to move Charlie Schenkle prior to the trade deadline for some top players. Schenkle and his stats prove that he is one of the top goalies in the OHL and teams are currently looking to add him depending on the price. If Miller can keep put a string of successful games, Charlie will be sold to the highest bidder not doubt.
Next up the Hounds are off to play Niagara and the Ice Dogs this Thursday in St. Catherine’s.
