It Was Close But Wildman Is Still Mayor/Skye Wallace Interview Tomorrow/Sinus Issues Galore: Any Suggestions?

The People Have Spoken

I waited and waited and waited until about midnight and then the tally was published. Incumbent Jody Wildman retained his chair as Mayor of St. Joseph Township. With only about 55% of eligible voters voting last night, the results were as follows. Jody Wildman 452 votes, Barry Elliott 361, and Katherine Henshell 105

After the results were in I kindly received the following comments.

Katherine Henshell “I would like to thank all of the people that supported me in the election. Well wishes to the new council as they settle into their terms”

Barry Elliott “I gave it a shot and I wouldn’t change a thing. The voters have spoken and I am good with that. I will move on a thank you to all of my supporters”

In regards to the councillors; Greg Senecal, Bryon Hall and Steve Adams all retained their seats. Ross Cameron was voted into the forth seat beating out Kathryn Trainor and Jason Garside.

**  452 + 361 + 105 = 918. ** (Voters 913 ?) What am I missing?

I'm Under A Lot of Pressure These Days

I don’t know if it is the aftereffects of a lingering cold or what; but I have had an issue with sinus pressure for the last three weeks. When I noticed it not too long ago, I attributed it to the seasonal flu. After fighting that off in only two days things went back to normal but I have had a lingering pressure in my nasal cavity ever since.

I have tried breathing in Vicks via the boiling water/bowl/towel method, sinus medications, and most recently the nasal sinus cavity high pressure spray.

All three seem to help but only for a couple of hours and then the pressure returns. I am thinking it is possible that the apartment is really dry so I am going to try a method my Mother taught me; you fill up large bowls of hot boiling water around the living area and the water evaporates into the air. I know with my smaller apartment in the Soo that this seemed to work but the large apartment I am in now….well it might not make it. Anyway if worst comes to worst I will grab a humidifier but …..am not comfortable with the extra cost of electricity I will be using.

If anyone has a similar issue and a suggestion I have not listed, please let me know in the comment section below.
