67's Ruin a Great Road Trip
After shutting out two teams in back to back games the Hounds had to end the trip in Ottawa which turned out to be not so nice losing 4-1. The Hounds peppered goalie Collin MacKenzie with 41 shots but the netminder turned away 40.
This is the second time Ottawa has beaten the Hounds this year as they won 2-1 previously in the Soo. The Hounds didn’t seem to have the lanes and grade A opportunities that they had against Peterborough and Kingston where they scored 10 goals and gave up none. I thought it was odd that after a shutout with Schenkel in Peterborough that Dean would go to Millar but he did and it worked. Millar seized his first shutout of the year in the Hounds 6-0 routing of Kingston Frontenac’s.
Against Peterborough Karki was dominant with two goals and in Kingston 5 kids had 2 or more points and rookie Spencer Evans picked up his first OHL goal.
This afternoon in the loss, Connor Clattenburg stood out as did Import Arttu Karki with the lone Hounds goal.
The Greyhounds return to action this Wednesday at the Memorial Gardens against Flint.
