Here is an interesting little story that I have told many before. As most know I am engaged more with the hard and heavy rock sound that you will find in most of my articles and interviews. I do however like a little country, pop, classical, and even a little Jazz and Soul.

It was exactly seven years plus a day that I had backpacked through Mexico. Prior to my journey I was checking out the concert scene for Mexico City where I was to stay during the first few days of my trek and the last few before flying home.

I didn’t really find much on those dates, but I did stumble upon a Michael Bublé. I really had no clue about him other than he was Canadian and pretty successful internationally. This was confirmed by the two sold out shows at the 40K seat Arena Ciudad de Mexico en Agosto 8 y 9.

So what did I do? Well I put out a Facebook post asking if it would be worth it to see this fellow Canuck live in Mexico. To my astonishment, my post went viral and a definite chorus of YES !!! shattered the comments section. The deal was sealed when my young daughter Ashley said :“Dad you have to go; he’s amazing” or something to that effect.

Well I ordered my ticket and waited until the night of.

Without a doubt, that show was one of the best shows I have ever been to in my life. Of course the music was not what I was use to, but the showmanship, Michaels sense of humor, the fact that thousands around me knew all of the words sung by my countryman made it special.

I will never forget that night and the song above will always be one of my favorites.
